As we reported earlier that Microsoft will released Windows 8 Consumer Preview on 29the Feb 2012, and its here now to enter in your system. Today Microsoft has released a full and free Consumer Preview build of Windows 8 for anyone. There are lots of things which have been changed or added in Windows 8 Consumer Preview. The "Start Screen" which has replaced old Start Menu in earlier version of Windows OS. Also it has the Ribbon UI in Windows Explorer like in Microsoft Office 2010.

On a PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista, a third-party program is required to convert an ISO file into installable media—and DVD burning software often includes this capability. One option is the USB/DVD download tool provided by the Microsoft Store. You can also download Windows 8 Consumer Preview Setup, which includes tools that allow you to create a DVD or USB flash drive from an ISO file (Windows Vista or Windows 7 required).

VLC Launches VLC Media Player v2.0: A Major Upgrade

VideoLAN has finally rolled out its latest VLC Media Player version 2.0. The VLC 2.0 brings all new features and new UI for Windows and Mac users. Its a major upgrade for VLC with faster decoding on multi-core GPU and mobile hardware and the ability to open more formats, HD and 10bits codecs etc.

Mac will see a completely redesigned Mac and Web interfaces and improvements in the other interfaces which make VLC easier than ever to use. For Mac users it will available in 2 colours, Lion Grey and QTX Black and will support more extension and better Lion integration. Support for all QTKit devices through qtcapture and qtsound modules. Continued support for X 10.5 and PPC users (1080p and ProRes on Dual-G5!).

Multi-threaded decoding for H.264, MPEG-4/Xvid and WebM. Support for 10bits codecs, WMV image and some other codecs. Rewritten support for images, including jpeg, png, xcf, bmp. Important changes in RealVideo and Real Format support. CrystalHD cards and Android OpenMAX support for hardware decoding. New resamplers for higher quality audio. New dynamic range compressor and karaoke filters. Simplification of the audio core for faster processing. New audio outputs for iOS, Android and OS/2.
